Arab India Spices – Ajman Food Processing Plant
April, 2014
Established in the UAE in 1986, Arab India Spices (AIS) has grown into a prominent food processing company specializing in pulses, spices, rice, and masala products. A significant milestone in its development was the opening of a state-of-the-art food processing plant in Ajman, representing an investment of approximately AED 40 million.
The facility expanded AIS’s capabilities beyond traditional milling and grinding into whole-spice processing and consumer packaging. Equipped with advanced technology and strict quality-control systems, the plant was designed to support food safety, efficiency, and consistent product quality. It also features eight Z-category Sortex machines from the UK for advanced sorting and processing.
AIS sources raw materials from major agricultural regions worldwide, including India, Myanmar, Australia, Canada, China, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Its diverse product portfolio includes pulses such as Masoor Dal, Chana Dal, Moong Dal, and Urid Dal, along with a wide range of spices and masala products.
The company’s established brands, including 777, Ameera, and Nallari, serve households as well as hotels, restaurants, catering businesses, and other food-service customers.
Under the leadership of Harish Tahiliani, AIS continues to focus on innovation, quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth. Its UAE-based operations and international sourcing network support distribution across the GCC and global markets, strengthening the company’s position in the regional food industry.
